Why do supplements from the health shop not seem to make any difference?

I've worked in health shops for a number of years and I can get a bit of a

bee in my bonnet when it comes to what I see.

If you've spent money on supplements and felt no real change,

it's not because natural health doesn't work.

It's almost always because of how those supplements were chosen.

Health shop supplements are formulated for a broad general population.

They're designed to be safe for most people, which means they're

rarely strong enough or specific enough to make a meaningful

difference for any one person's particular situation.

The dose is often conservative, the form is often poorly absorbed, and the combination rarely matches what your body actually needs.

There's also the issue of what you're treating.

Menopause symptoms can look similar on the surface but have

very different drivers underneath.

Two women with identical hot flushes might have completely different hormonal profiles, gut health pictures, stress responses, and nutritional deficiencies.

A supplement that helps one won't necessarily help the other, and a product that claims to help all menopause symptoms is almost certainly overpromising.

The other factor is absorption.

Your gut health directly affects how well you absorb and utilise nutrients.

If your digestion is compromised, which is extremely common during menopause, you may be taking the right things and simply not absorbing them properly.

This is why the starting point for effective natural menopause support

isn't a trip to the health shop.

It's a thorough assessment of what's actually happening in your body,

followed by a plan built specifically around you.

When supplements are chosen for the right reasons, in the right forms,

at the right doses, and alongside the right dietary and lifestyle changes,

they make a real difference.

The key is knowing which ones are right for you and why.

That's what the Menopause Map is built to do.
